The TV looks awful out of the box! But once calibrated it has a beautiful picture!!

Wow avoid buying tvs at the frys in duluth georgia. I did end up buying the tv for $999 (5% cash back with my citi card too) but man those sales reps are some slimeballs. The first guy I talked to today in the tv section, I mentioned the $999 sales price and he confirmed it but he had other customers ahead of me so another guy came up to help. I didn't say anything about the price and for context, the sales sticker said $1199 so he assumed I thought it was $1199 and went to his kiosk to look it up and bam told me he has a better tv for the same price, something about the G2 and we were about to go look at it but he mentioned the price was the "same" as the LG, $1199. Then I told him the other tv was actually $999 and he said oh ok and I bought it and will avoid shopping for tvs there. I don't know if this is normal, I mean I know it is normal for sales reps to try and upsell and sell warranties but wow in two days I have dishonest sales reps trying to screw me. The first trying to sell me the tv but with a unconditional warranty attached then the other one trying to sell me another tv for the "same" price as this one. I mean it would have rung up as $999 but still, unbelievable. I don't even want to know how badly the uninformed get screwed around.

They get paid commission so that's why they do it. I would probably do the same thing if I worked there.

I got this one for $949 after PM at Best Buy...

Here are my settings, Calibrated using WoW Disney disc.... and the Tv is located in a semi-dark room

Eye Care: Low
LED Local Dimming: Low
TruMotion: USER.... and is at level: 1


You also have to change the settings under EXPERT CONTROL
Go to Menu > Picture Mode> "choose" Expert1 > Expert Control

Passive looks good to me... and the glasses are so cheap you can have 10 people watching without breaking the bank. I'm in the market for a passive 3D tv.

ill take half resolution (passive 3D) anyday over half framerate (active 3D)

less resolution = less crisp image
less framerate = flickering, crosstalk, headaches

Tax is Tax, some people are just lucky



Try to hit (*) button below "7" digit in your Dish network remote and it has "Stretch","Zoom", "Partial Zoom"..etc... I am not sure if that is causing the issue...

However I configured my LG TV remote for dish network and my LG home theater system to navigate
