YOU HAVE TO CALIBRATE THIS TV The TV looks awful out of the box! But once calibrated it has a beautiful picture!! |

LG LM6700 calibration settings
Here are my settings, Calibrated using WoW Disney disc.... and the Tv is located in a semi-dark roomMenu > Picture Mode..... Choose Standard MODE: STANDARD (user) Energy Saving: OFF Backlight: 75 Contrast: 96 Brightness: 57 H. Sharpness: 30 Color: 53 Tint: 0 Color Temp: 0 Advanced Control Dynamic Contrast: Off Dynamic Color: Off Clear White: Low Preferred Color: if you click... It has a sub menu... And is set to: 0 Super Resolution: Off Gamma: Low Color Gamut: Greyed out (it set to Wide) Picture Option Noise Reduction: Off Mpeg Noise Reduction: Off Black Level: Low Real Cinema: Off Eye Care: Low LED Local Dimming: Low TruMotion: USER.... and is at level: 1 You also have to change the settings under EXPERT CONTROL Go to Menu > Picture Mode> "choose" Expert1 > Expert Control Expert Control: Dynamic Contrast: Off Super Resolution: Off Color Gamut: Standard Edge Enhancer: Off Color Filter: Off Expert Pattern: Off (greyed out) Gamma: 2.2 WHITE BALLANCE Color Temperture: Warm Method: 20 Point IRE Pattern: Outer IRE: 100 Luminance: 200 Red: 0 Green: 0 Blue: 0 NOW CLICK “Apply to all inputs” Last edited by skypros; 10-17-2012 at 04:43 PM.. |

Hope you don't mean main PC monitor. 1080p looks pretty bad on a 27" monitor, on this it be terrible, unless you have it sitting in another room As a 2nd monitor, for movies, games, sure. Personally I prefer games on my 30" 1600p monitor, even though I have a 60" TV hooked up to the PC. Regardless, this TV is pretty bad. Few hundred more you can get a 55" GT Sup

IMHO. I have a 50PA5500 and dialed down my contrast from otherwise very similar settings. TV looks spectacular. |
