I have the Lenovo 110520U - the TS130 with a E3-1235 xeon and absolutely love it. I found it for $400ish refurbished from techforless but I'm also seeing it for $430 new @ bestbuy/antonline HERE [antonline.com]. I absolutely love the machine - insanely quiet, very low power draw, well built. The difference between the processors comes down to a little MHZ bump but also hyper-threading which has been advantageous to me using it as a hyper-v host box. The other difference with my sku is the lack of a hard drive. While called servers, these guys make excellent workstation machines or I guess servers for a hobbyist Both come with Intel AMT 7 for management interfaces which is also nice. I highly recommend this rig (either the 11051CU or the 110520U) and would take them any day over anything i3 you find in the same price range. Speed wise mine is on par with an i7-2600 and even better at virtualization specific tasks. If you are a serious gamer, look elsewhere because while the processor is fantastic, the expandability is low for high end graphic cards.

This is like a cheap desktop with a Xeon thrown in.

When you look inside the box, there are only two hard drive slots. You could probably rig one into the RDX space if you didn't want to go that route for backup. But I can' tell if there's a SATA port for the 3rd drive.

I'd say this is only really good so long as you don't expect to need more than 2 x 2TB storage.

What's the problem with Dell? I do hear about a lot of complaints of Dell servers....
My bottom lines Dell and HP can provide enterprise level services.... I can't even get to a live person at Lenovo tech support during business hours.... have been on hold for forever....

My experiences with Dell support have been absolutely horrible. I would definitely not recommend Dell!

Just about any business that uses IBM for consulting. All IHG hotel properties for example.
