Are these the original ones or the newer design? (Newer design has an almost square shaped button and old one has rectangular like the ones from your picture).

Irregardless good deal, but I like the older design better. With this new one if you let go of the button while still drinking then move the thermos from your face, you are likely to spray a few drips of coffee the way the lid is designed.

I love these mugs!!! We won't use anything else now because they do not leak. The Contigo water bottles are nice too.

It seems like newer one. Buttons are little large then one in the picture.

These are awesome...truly don't leak in any position and keep your coffee hot. Contigo has spoiled me for all other insulated bottles and their water bottles are the only ones to use too. Makes me wish I had a Costco membership.

Great price on these. Hands down the best insulated travel mugs on the market. We have tried them all - I had the overflowing cabinet to prove it. Since we bought these I won't use anything else. If anything, it keeps the coffee so hot that I can't drink it as fast as I would like at first. Haven't used it for cold drinks yet, but I don't doubt that it's up to the task.

I plan to give them as teacher's gifts with coffee shop gift cards. I only bought a few at full amazon price -since it was all the budget allowed. At this price I can cross them all off my list as well as stock the gift closet. Thanks OP!

I bought these Contigo bottles at Costco last year

Don't know how the compare, but the ones I bought keep the water and ice cold for quite a while. The only draw back is they don't hold a lot of water if you add a lot of ice.

I use similar Thermos insulated travel cups for mixed drinks during the summer. They stay ice cold, with no condensation on the outside. Perfect for tailgating before a baseball game or concert.

Have bought Contigo since the first version at Costco, with the white ring pull tabs on top. We like those much better than these, but unfortunately, didn't know they would change designs, so didn't stock up. Be aware that the button will get stuck over time. I returned one set after about 6 months, and am on the second set, which are holding on, but the buttons are getting sticky again. I drink a coffee, then it's hot water for the rest of the day.

Also, it's quite difficult to clean these. The push button apparatus has nooks and crannies that are hard to really clean. Best way is to fill with hot water, and shake the heck out of it. You'll be surprised at how many dark bits are floating in the rinse water. Definitely great insulating properties, but I sorely wish that they'd bring the old design back. Much better to bump the nose against the seal of the old one than get splashed by hot coffee when the button is released on the new one.

i have 3 of these mugs, mainly because they are cheaper than my thermos mug. They are good compared to really cheapo mugs you get at the store. Keeps my coffee hot for about 1-2 hours, after that its luke warm. Does not hold a candle to my thermos sipp mug though. It can keep my drink hot for 4-6 hours. For $15.99 for 2 mugs, this is a great deal. There are better ones out there though.
