Government employee deployed overseas, any mortgages with primary residence waiver?

I am a federal government employee being assigned to an overseas assignment for a couple of years. I am currently looking for a home to buy, rent it out while I'm gone, and return to live in it when I get back to the States. So wondering if there are any mortgage companies out there that'll waive the primary residence requirement, so that I won't get hit with investment property mortgage rates.

I called Penfed, but their experts wont be back until Monday to give me a clear answer, so hoping the collective knowledge of SD will shed some light.
