THIS IS FOR NEW ACTIVATION ONLY. ALSO, YOU CANNOT FLASH A PHONE TO METROPCS ANYMORE.
Quite limited 4G network. Check coverage in your area by copying and pasting "http://maps.metropcs.com/" (for some reason a hotlink won't take you right to this page). Check "High Contrast View" in lower right corner.

MetroPCS does not have a 3g network, so you are throttle down to 2G when you are over the limit. Their 2G is pretty close to 56k modem speed, that's not a joke.

Galaxy S3 is $499.

What is the best Android phone under $200 for this deal?
ZTE Anthem 4G - $199

LG Motion 4G - $150

Coolpad Quattro 4g - $79 (if you are really on a budget)

WOAH that's a low price! Too bad the good phones cost around $400
Just steal one from a drunk chick at a night club.
It is so dark in there and body to body, easy as pie

Does anyone know what the best metro phone is right now? I currently have the Samsung Admire which obviously isn't the best, but the more expensive 4g phones have so-so reviews.

On the wiki it says the Galaxy s3 is coming out. Maybe I'll wait for that. I'm def more of a Samsung guy. I've had good luck with the past 2 Samsung phones from metro.

Sorry to threadjack but I noticed some people mentioning the Sprint smartphones on the $30 SERO plan so I figured I'd provide a link so people know where to read about it. LINK HERE [howardforums.com] Seems people have been able to do it with the Samsung Galaxy S3 way later in the thread. I haven't tried this yet but I think I just might. Paying for 4g without ever even using it is crap.

I've had Metro for about 2 years now but have been considering other options since the tmo announcement.

I pay $50 all inclusive right now with an LG Optimus

If I buy the Motion I should save almost $100 over the next year so I guess it's worth it since nothing will likely change for at least another year.

How can I get a $30 Sprint SERO plan? Didn't they close new SERO plans long ago?
Yes, SERO has been closed for at least two years.

you might be able to find one on ebay... but you're limited to anything pre- touch pro 2
If he does find a $30 SERO plan on EB, he could always upgrade it to SEROP for an extra $10 - $20 a month depending on the phone.

Interesting, I haven't heard about this before. Doesn't really matter for me as Sprint doesn't offer LTE here in PHX but they're nice enough to charge you for it. look around

LOL They are definitely nice enough to charge you for it. I live about an hour from STL so I will get LTE as soon as SDers start paying full price for stuff.
