Here's the thread to the same Sharp model that I bought at HH Gregg last November...I've had it almost a year now and still looks great. I ended up paying $720 + tax for it last November...worth every penny.

Very nice deal, I might consider the LC60E69U if it was from NewEgg, as I'm in NYC.

The LC60E79U model came out to $851.99 after tax last BF on bestbuy.com. Subtract the $80 ShopDiscover discount, brings the total to $771.99. Glad I got in on THAT deal.

I purchased the same deal at GREGG for $720 last year - was $800 less a 10% discount that the store really did not want to honor. The set has a very good picture but it did take a lot of effort to get the picture looking really good. The side view does not seem as good as front viewing and there always seems to be a few channels that do not look as good. ( I have over 700 channels) You can adjust those but now the majority of the channels are not as good. Overall a VERY good TV and for $720 I am extremely happy

Yup, as others have posted the newer model LC60E79U was on sale last BF at Best Buy for $799. Love the TV...CCFL display but with the latest X-Gen panel. Great color and picture quality!

last time i bought a tv 2 years ago from pcr, it took over an hour and 3 people to make my purchase. a floor sales person, a sales manager, and a sales supervisor...all had to input my credit card 3 times. they all tried to push hard their cheap accessories like a wall mount, hdmi cables, etc. was the shadiest place since Crazy Eddies before NYC shut him down and put him in prison, lol. now i prefer to buy online and save the bs for the next schmuck.
