Black Friday Predictions for 2012

What about camera deals? any idea on those?

3D Blu-Rays and 3D TVs will come down BELOW the cost of regular HD televisions.

I predict this because of several production studios / television makers wanting 3D to take off. Passive 3D 47" TVs will be around $500, maybe $450. 3D Blu-Rays will be $19.99 for most.

This years BF seems not too exciting...

Prices will be about the same as they were last year on electronics, except for tablets. Those will fall. Stores will offer credits when you buy from them (ie Walmart will offer $50 GC if you buy the new Wii U from them; Staples will probably kick in $25 GC for the Nexus 7 tablet. Ultra books should be hot this year, clearing out old stock. Probably a good selection of Ultra books under $500. XBOX 360 and PS3 systems will be very low, competing for market share against the Wii U. The Wii U sill start at $299, and be the big ticket item this year.

Sears, Best Buy and Walmart will have their best Black Friday ad to date. Amazon, New Egg, Toys R Us, and ebay will definitely be worth shopping all day on Thanksgiving, and up through the night. I give myself a limit of $1000 or so just for online shopping. I'm always too tired to hit the stores on BF. Wife can pick up the leftover stuff at 3am that I may have missed online.

I'm sorry if I spoiled any of your plan (and many other SDers). But the scenario I mentioned could happen. So my point is use BF as an opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones. You never know if you will have that chance again if the above scenario that I mentioned does happen.
