Live in IL, so tax here too. good if you don't have tax, but for folks like me rather go MC for easy returns + mobo combo.

Dang! Paid $199 for it from Amazon two days ago. Weak.

That puts the price at about $300 after tax and gas (assuming 2 gallons - YMMV).

This chip could be as low $160.68 (depending on 7% cash back from one site and 5% cash back from Discover) including shipping. Without cash back, it's $182.28.

If you can get the board online for $120 or so, it's break even without you leaving the house. If you cannot find that board for that price and want it, you would be best served to drive to MC and get the combo.

For light/casual use, why would you need either the 3570k or the 3770k? You'd probably be able to save yourself some money by going with something cheaper yet and more mainstream...a processor that's not unlocked. With that said, this is a hot deal. I've been watching this processor for a while now and this is the cheapest price I've ever seen to get this shipped.

If that is what you do, then its not worth it for you. A $100 CPU and $80 SSD be faster (in terms of opening stuff) for you .
Such as Pentium G630 or Pentium G2120.

I would need a CPU with at least this speed so that I can play, record, stream games at 720p or better without lag.
