Yes very odd but maybe Nintendo is working hard to make these scarce. But they have to sell a few to make a profit....Walmart only getting 4 deluxe on launch date seems like very few. But maybe more shipments soon.

sorry to burst everyones bubble but i dont think these are going to be hard to find at all before christmas unless another AAA title comes out. I just got home with one and while im excited to play a new system the games really are just nintendoland which came with the system and new super mario bros. zombi u etc i dont think are enough to make a person plop down reseller prices.

The Wii didn't have shit besides Mario either at the time.

Any idea how fast shipments of wii's will be coming in after this?

I just waited in line with a bunch of gamer dudes for wii u. Not a single woman in site. You need soccer moms to show up in droves for these to be hot.

soccer moms watch tv. there are hardly any wii u commercials yet.

Yes if you think about it, with the supply this crazy tight, if there is any considerable demand at all, prices should really spike upwards. If a Walmart in a major metro area just gets four to sell with no more on the horizon, then has to be major supply/demand imbalance.

Although like I said, there was literally no one there who wanted more than 2 of those 4, so who knows. Nintendo needs to get their commercials on TV and fast.

does anyone know the return policy on this system? is it the normal 15days system return policy or does the Holiday return policy takes in effect?

got mine this morning...wish i wasn't at work so i could put it on the big TV at home...

picked mine up on layaway this morning. and went by the wiiu section of the games section at walmart.

all the wiiu's were sold out.

Picked up my pre-ordered units today at Walmart a couple of hours after opening, couldn't have gone more smoothly. They said they only had enough left in to fill layaway pre-orders when one employee asked another if they had ones out for sale too. Apparrently the non-layway, normal-sale ones sold out basically instantly at opening.It took a minute or so to process my receipts, then they left for 5 minutes or so and brought the Wii U Deluxe units out to me. Mine were set aside in a back room and had labels on them when they were brought out. I asked them if they could bag 'em and they did so with double bags for easy carrying.

I really want to keep one still but it wouldn't make financial sense , but I do plan to buy one again later for myself with a part of the profits.
