Synology DS213+ 2-Bay Diskless DiskStation NAS - $309.97 + ~$10 shipping
Hey everyone, and sorry for the large amount of info as I'm a bit of a OP noob. I was looking around for a good price for new Synology Network Attached Storage systems that just got released (either the DS213 or DS213+) and I ran into this deal at Mwave.com for the new DS213+ for $309.97 + shipping which is the same as the price that they list for the regular DS213 (must be a mistake). Shipping for me calculates to a little over $10.

On Amazon [amazon.com] and other sites, this model is $399 at the lowest and usually has a 1-2 month shipping projection. And since I live in PA, I have to pay tax on top of that which is terrible. I first found Mwave.com from their ebay store since I had some giftcards and ebaybucks to spend so I placed my order through that and it should offer me some decent protection. The ebay prices are a little bit higher than on Mwave's website at $316.30 + $11.99 shipping but in my mind it gave me a bit more protection. Also, there ebay stores have very good ratings all across so I was willing to trust them and use my giftcards at the same time. Also, with the ebaybucks program, you get 2% of your cost back eventually as ebaybucks to use next quarter with this deal. This is just another avenue to get this product.
I'm not too sure how reputable
the site is but at the discount for that they had for the DS213+ model, I was willing to give it a shot. Looking closer into the site, if you join the MWAVE club you may be able to get a $5 coupon that you can use too (I don't quite know what all the details of this are.
All I can finally attest to is that the Synology DS213+ is an amazing product that is very difficult to find and even more difficult to find on sale. The DS213+ has a Dual Core 1.067GHZ PPC-based processor with Floating Point Unit calculations and a built in encryption chip along. I don't quite need the encryption functions but the dual core PPC processor will serve me in my plex media server where I need videos to be transcoded to various other computers, ipads, iphones, androids, etc. This is why I chose to get the more powerful DS213+. It is much better than the DS213 model and if they are at the same price, the DS213+ is a no brainer.
Since this site has both of the DS213 and DS213+ for the same price, it is definitely a good deal to jump on it before they change it. I can explain a few more things in later posts if need be and other can let me know how legit MWave is as a company.
This is my first big deal post, so please don't kill me completely. Let me know what you all think.
