How many did I do this year ? Just checked in detail and total current invalid are 48 ... all from Parago.
When I called they stated that you need to call Symantec and Trend Micro for their rebates ... same issue like with McAfee. All the rest they stated, if you are a Retailer you are not allowed to do so many and blah blah and that we will investigate. I'm pretty sure all those 48 will stay "Invalid". When I said I am not a Retailer and do it for my relatives and friends they said then you should ask them to do it themselves.
As long as they don't blacklist you, you'll be fine. I have a friend who has done over 250 in just the last 4 months and all his are ok. I think around 150 are from Parago.

That's a load of crap. You could have a home business or something and need multiple licenses of software.
48 Invalid has to be a lot of money lost, considering most are McAfee or Symantec Rebates are $30 to $50.
This is getting out of hand... I started a thread about getting invalids on Symantec rebates this morning. I've gotten 4 so far and I'm expecting another 2. I think we need to raise hell with the retailers (Frys and Newegg mostly) and try to get them to apply pressure to these companies to validate our rebates. If I remember correctly, I think someone in the past complained about these rebate practices to frys and I think the got some fry giftcards out of it.
Are you saying you're getting the 'audit' status for other brands too? Or they're making up 'misisng upc' or 'missing receipt' for the other brands? That's scary.
First they made up "Missing UPC", Invalid UPC", "Missing email confirmation", "Product not on receipt" and many times multiple reasons on the same Rebate.
Then I called to get them fixed and they fixed over 50 of them. 5 days later all of them went Invalid again and only some of the "Symantec" ones started showing "Not Pass Our Audit" Status.
Called again and and was told to call Symantec, Trend Micro and Webroot Customer Service for their Rebates. For the others they said they will have to investigate and call them back after 2 weeks. It has been 10 days and I see 5 of the AVG changed to "Valid" now but none of the others and my guess is the others will stay "Invalid".
