Got myself a $75 Gift card from Best Buy from last year's xbox360 250gb holiday bundle mishap where the computer couldn't update fast enough and more orders were placed than there was in stock. I was nice/patient with the CS rep on the phone the whole time and he just offered the $75 gift card to me (he said people were yelling at him over this issue the whole morning) and ordered another bundle for me. Later in the day, the 250gb bundle came back on sale but for a later shipping date on Microsoft so I ordered through there. Called back Best Buy and cancelled the 4gb bundle order and had the $75 gift card mailed in back even though it was directly applied into the new order.
In the end, got $75 extra bucks and my xbox360250gb bundle from microsoft. Lesson learned from the day, always be nice to the CS reps. What goes around comes around

Canon SX230 for $149 with a free memory card in 2011. Not BF... it was the Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 for $99 when it was normally going around $300 Also Adobe Photoshop for $259.99 with $400 of coupon. Last edited by KoGa; 11-10-2012 at 08:52 PM.. |

I've scored numerous killer deals thanks to the slickdeals. The products aren't particularly memorable because they're things I don't truly want or need. The purchases that were most memorable are the following.
1. The Bahamian government was offering $400 travel credits for hotel and airfare. I booked trips for me, my daughter, girlfriend separately for a grand total $0.79. We cancelled two of the rooms on arrival. To top it off, there was confusion about a tax on the hotel room. Users reported there was a ta, and Expedia credited $75 to my account. We discovered there was no tax. 2. Expedia Canada was giving travel credit for stays in NYC and Las Vegas. It was intended for people flying out of Canada. However, you could choose to depart from wherever and get the credit. From DFW, we used the same process above (three hotel rooms) and traveled to Las Vegas for a two night stay that ended up costing us slightly over a dollar. |

All of the FAR freebies from Staples, Omax, Office Depot, Circuit City, CompUSA back in the good old days of Slickdealing and Fatwalleting. Printers, media, cordless phones, mice, software, chairs, drives, batteries, cases... Made $$$ and still have closets full of good stuff.

Slickest deal I got was when Bing Cashback was 20% at Sears around Black Friday 2009. The reason it was so slick was that if you purchased something and then cancelled the order days later... the cashback still stayed. I netted around 600 before they figured it out (credit would go away) and it stopped working (they also lowered the cashback.
The reason I found out was a TV I was going to buy was cheaper by a new SD post on Amazon. I cancelled and usually, from my previous experience, the cashback would go away within 48 hours. However, it stayed on this. I took a chance and ordered a few more TVs. Cancelled and still there. The scariest part was waiting for the cashback to be active (past the return window). I should have purchased more TVs but I was younger and my credit limits just weren't that high with various transactions on there. I miss Bing Cashback a lot. The daily Ebay % thread was a favorite for quite some time. I remember it would peak at 35% sometimes. Ordered lots of stuff there too.... miss those days

Best BF for me had to be last year.
It was the first time since I was probably 14 that I had waited in the cold for BF. I wanted a PS3 and since BB's line was crazy long we went to Target. Well by the time we get to the Target it's already 75 ppl deep. Of course my buddy who had been waiting all afternoon was first in line so he nabbed the 46 inch Westinghouse. Well by the time we get in I scan around to see maybe possibly there was a spare 46 inch westinghouse hanging around (crazy I know). Just as I do some crazy lady starts yelling "I got the last one they're all gone!!!!) After a few choice mental words to her I continue my search for PS3 and securely grab one with both hands. As I continue to feel the happiness flow over me, the friend I was with stated that my gf was getting me a PS3 for Christmas. So my gf who was with us says yep and states she is going to buy it now for me. My emotions are through the roof, im filled with joy!!! As it turns out yes it was great she bought it. But I had to look at the dang thing sitting there until Christmas Day when I could open it. Well as we are shopping and dodging the madness of carts, children and all around insanity I feel a thought in the back of my head. I thought "Hey check around for some TV's" well I did and they had one last Element 40 inch left. I said what the hell scooped it up, waited an hour to check out and then come to find out the damn thing doesn't fit in my car. Well found a ride and brought it home. Well I had to work opening at my store so after Target I immediately went to work and then came home crashed and then set up my TV. I was full of joy opening the box but then it sank when I noticed the screen had a crack! Arghhh! Blast! Who could have done such a travesty? How could have this happened? Well packed the damn thing up and went back to Target. To make an unnecessary long story short the woman allowed me to exchange the Tv for a 40 inch led 120hz Westinghouse! It was great bc at the time the Westinghouse sold for 150 more dollars than what I had paid! |

I don't really participate much in BF sales but I did score big when NoMoreRack first started their "Insanity Deals" last November-ish
In a little over a month I managed to score-- $17.87/each - (2) Kindle Touches 6" w/ 3G $21.77 - Canon Rebel T3 (says Xs but that's not what they sent me) $61.96 - Samsung LED SmartTV 55" $19.82/each - (2) Samsung 7" 16GB Galaxy Tab Plus $39.39/each - (3) Sony Vaio 15" laptops $43.20/each - (2) Apple iPad 2's $26.54 - Playstation 3 Also got $80 in Amazon cards and $60 in iTunes cards for free from NoMoreRack for participating in "post winning promotions" Paid $390 then ended up selling the 2 Kindle's and one of the Sony Vaio's for about $690 so almost $300 profit on a few thousand worth of merchandise. Looking for NBPR rebates valid in CT, trade or PPG
