8:24 pm (MST), Oct 22 2012, I am able to add A8_3870K to cart and the ram still shows up in my cart.

i feel the need to edit the wiki since i got my system now and fully assembled for my friend. i opt for the A8-3850 as i am not planning on over clocking.

to say i am impressed is a understatement, and this is speaking from who build premium intel HTPC.

start with the win 7 score: CPU 7.3, RAM 7.5, Graphic 6.6, Gaming: 6.6 HDD 5.9 (traditional HDD, not SSD)

for a point of reference, i recall the GT 240 getting the similar graphic scores. so the IGP in this chip is very good to say at the very least. my main HTPC system: i7-2700 (4.2GHz), 16G cruiser ram, 570 SLI/ 830 scores 7.7/7.8/7.9/7.3 respectably. similar scores, but number of times more expensive.

now to those who wonder about HDMI audio. the M/B's DVI-D does output Audio, all you need is a DVI to HDMI cable. i have personally tested it. (HDMI and DVI-D both uses the same electrical contact. difference is HDMI encode video/audio/aux in those contact while most DVI doesn't, but this one does).

the fan is quiet, on the same level as i7/i5. it does spin up when running prime 95. the Tj.max is surprising low at 70 degrees.

don't rely on HWmonitor or core temp to read, use open hardware monitor. this is as close as you can get from BIOS reading.

i run it out of a HTPC case with 220W CPU. the max power consumption for this chip is about 105W.
