Instant Silver Status with Marriott
Thanks to Gary @ View from the wing for this [boardingarea.com],
How to INSTANTLY get Marriott Silver status level when signing up.... (from a variety of companies that Marriott has corporate agreements with.)
There’s a simple link, the format is
http: // www. joinmarriottrewards. com/account/silver/default.aspx?source=COMPANYNAME (Replace COMPANYNAME with the name of your company!! and delete the spaces)
So the link for IBM [joinmarriottrewards.com] is http://www.joinmarriottrewards.com/account/silver/default.aspx?source=IBM
And the link for Accenture [joinmarriottrewards.com] is http://www.joinmarriottrewards.com/account/silver/default.aspx?source=ACCENTURE
And the link for the University of California [joinmarriottrewards.com] is http://joinmarriottrewards.com/account/silver/default.aspx?source=UniversityofCalifornia
ETC ETC...You can try to enter your own company name to see what’s offered, if anything.
Here's some more...
Link for Cisco [joinmarriottrewards.com]
Link for Chevron [joinmarriottrewards.com]
Link for ATT [joinmarriottrewards.com]
Link for Verizon. [joinmarriottrewards.com]
Link for Dell [joinmarriottrewards.com]
Link for Comcast [joinmarriottrewards.com]
Link for Cisco [joinmarriottrewards.com]
Link for Fedex [joinmarriottrewards.com]
Here's a link to the priviliges you get as a Silver elite member. [marriott.com]
And a link to the Fortune 500 companies. [cnn.com] If anyone wants to try and see what works and what doesn't.
I don't know if existing members without status can sign up for this or not...But I'm fairly certain, that if you truly have proof that you work at that company, then Marriott will work with you. Their customer service reps are excellent.
For those that want to use any of these links to sign up, Go ahead...No one is going to ask you for proof of membership at the hotel, but it's a risk you're taking.
Cheers!
