And for the record I, unlike some envious_crusaders, happily trade the Amazon gc rather than endure the actual zombie mulch game again, that was 45 mins of horror.

I would prefer gezzuzz doing what he's doing as opposed to me missing out on this deal. Just stocking up on things I use anyways... as long as my basement doesn't flood, I should have enough PT and TP to last me quite a long time. I've also spent thousands at Home Depot in the past 4 years fixing up my house, and while I'm remodeling a bathroom now, I haven't stepped into a Lowes in months. For the various plumbing parts, I just go to HD now and use a few coupons.

Only a few incidents to date but I'm starting to get paranoid ("what are they whispering over there?"). Certainly helps if you have the newer SCOs at your store as you can often do 1 or 2 transactions a minute whereas it often takes 2-3 minutes per on the older ones ("come on...come on...they're watching over there...hurry up dammit you slowpoke machine!")

As strange as it might seem, when you factor in the cost of gas It is actually cheaper to pay the $5 for 2-$15 to maximize your needs and trip. TP and PT are always needed and costly.

I would hate it when one lone SCO attendant would stand at the register and stare at it while I'm the only one at SCO. It's like she was watching everything I did and periodically asking if I needed any help. I'd feel a little guilty as I knew she saw what I was getting for just pennies. lol

Then I'd put my bags back in the cart and head out and she'd say "Have a nice day".

During my runs I did have a few look at the coupon and question whether paper towels was lawn and garden. They'd either try to scan to see or I'd just tell them to scan and they'd see it would work. They'd just reply "Good deal".

Mostly everyone at Home Depot has been so nice and helpful. I kept waiting for a big snag with someone or something but no real issues since I began using the coupons.

I'm still surprised they kept this going till expiration but kudos to them. This sure does made the 10% off coupons less desirable....at least while the zombie coupons are live.

I went into HD and bought the 30.00 gift card. I used maybe 20 coupons that day at several HDs after purchasing the gift card and still have $15+ balance on my HD card.

Everyone was excited to get their HD bundle of goodies as part of their Christmas. The neighbor even got a new rake as part of his Christmas as he had borrowed ours a few weeks ago. He teased that we thought it was a hint he needed to rake his yard.

The big winner on this deal is G and the oil companies as we are driving around our collective cities burnin oil for deals.....happily.

I agree, I've had great customer service at all of the Home Depots that I've been to. My wife had a very grumpy one at the SCO, but it was for a batch of coupons that printed faded, and the SCO couldn't read the barcode.

10% still has it's own purpose, I need to buy a few grand worth of hardwood, and need a 10% off coupon. I am so used to Lowes, I don't even know if Home Depot still has their own 10%, or if I should use the Lowes coupon?

I wonder how many new deals I have missed because I have been reading this one so much and not looking at the new "hot deals" enough?
Don't think any would have as good as this one though. :-)

i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one who has been feeling paranoid lately i've had no issues using the coupons and the HD people have all been really nice but i still have been feeling paranoid lately and i only use 2 per visit at SCO. i think i may have done 3 once or twice a few weeks ago, but other than that i've stuck to using only 2 at SCO and then 2 at the garden center check-out. even though i've been going to 4-5 different locations i haven't had the nerve to try more than 2 at a time.
