I've been holding out for another NEX-5n price drop, but this is just so cheap I might just buy this an and a cannon adapter(for 20ish $)as a holdover while I wait out ILC prices to drop across the board.

Awesome little camera. Got the kit for $200 as a refirb and brought it to europe. So much better than lugging around my 7D and so much better than a point and shoot camera

Any recs for a cheap all around lens?

Second the cheap lens suggestion. If I could pick up a lens under 100 bucks or so I'd be all over this.

Very tempting. Shipping was $11 to the west coast. Reviews indicate that their demos were almost indistinguishable from new items and they include a 1 yr store warranty.

At $100 more or so for the lens, it's not worth it. I got a "used" GF2 14-42mm kit with zero shots on the clock for $200 from the Cow. It was absolutely new with everything that could be sealed still sealed.

To me, this is only a deal if you intend to use it with MF glass and thus only need a body.

What exactly is the Cow?

Also, the refurb with the lens seems like a way better deal.

I use Super Takumar 50mm 1/1.4 lens with this camera more often than the kit lens that came with it. I am now thinking sell the kit lens....
Takumar is a manual focus, manual exposure lens but the portraits and low light photos taken with this combination can easily beat most kit lenses and most SLR bodies. Also this camera has Focus Assist which helps a great deal in manual focusing. You can get the lens around $80-$120 on eBay plus $10 for an adapter.

Seems like getting the "demo" version for $120 plus the $100 "demo" 14-42mm II lens MSC would be a better deal than getting the kit with the version I 14-42 lens for $211 shipped
