Don't be shy, you can try it and confirm for yourself.
I do not have a bridge and I don't want to buy the nexia bridge, if the code is not working.
and I don't want to buy and then not able to use it because of code not working.

buy the bridge, try the code.

if the code doesnt work (the longer you wait the better chance this is the case); return it.
if the code works; done.
if the code works and you hate the limited capabilities and 'cloud features'; return it and buy a vera.

fine, one more scenario.

buy the bridge if it doesnt work; resell.

oorrrr just wait around and watch the deal expire. i find it hard to believe it is that much cheaper than the $45 or whatever they go for on ebay where you could return it.

this all sounds like a lot of hassle for a subpar and limited device/solution. save yourself the 'trouble' and just buy the vera lite. it is superior in every way, and when your 'free' year is up on the schlage you wont have an paperweight extorting you out of another year of service.

thanks for your suggestions.
I already put my money for Almond + which I think would be way better than vera. they will probably ship sometime in January or feb not sure, so I need something for few months only.

But if the coupon won't work then I would lost the money on the bridge too.

well I will keep watching the thread and see if someone try and post that the code is working.

thanks

You should ask for the serial to "verify it is new" and see if it works. Waiting on my Almond+, been tempting to just buy a VeraLite to mess around with before it gets here.

understood. a nod to the vera... theyve have a huge headstart, years of iterations of their software, and they have made many many improvements and functional changes that only come with experience and input from the community. its going to take quite a while for the almond+ to get to the point where vera is now when it comes to supporting advanced functionality. if you want basic 'remote control' functionality, this probably wont matter to you. and as someone dipping their toes in to z-wave for the first time, you probably dont have the same concerns (many many devices and true automation) as other users.

maybe someone can help me here.
I have GE Simon 3 security panel which looks like this
http://www.royalsecurity.us/wp-co...on-iii.jpg

I am not sure that this is z-wave or not, but if it is not, what is the closest panel that I can get which can is z-wave compatable, and connect my all existing door and windows sensors.

thanks,
