Here is how China-Mart treat their so called low level employees, mostly cashiers and floor support folks. They have sales tracking system up their home office. The sales tracking system tracks when higher sales happens. According to this data they schedule employees hours for the next week. Employee could get 40 hours or 30 hours, they never get to know. Employees never get to know what time and hours they will work next week. If employee wants to change time due to baby care or any other reason, NO GO. This is just a one example how China-Mart treat their employees.

China-Mart will make America = Amerimbabwe.

Walmart posts hours 3 weeks in advance. At least, 6 years ago that was the standard practice. Any employer worth a hoot will track trends and schedule accordingly to cover heavier times and lighter times. You don't want people standing around, whether it's customers or employees.

This will never work not enough stores participating they will just fire the employees involved because these are not skilled positions most jobs at Wal-Mart can be learned in a couple of hours.

It's really simple... find somewhere else to work if you don't like the policies.

That is simply not true they post their schedules 3 weeks in advanced. Their hours can fluctuate but they still know the days they work. They can change shifts with a manager approval.

I really doubt anything comes of this.

...As I said I just grabbed a few random articles I googled real fast.. Not like its too hard to find more info from a more reputable source by doing some of your own research and not just assume. But, I guess I'll do that work as well..

Not sure why some people just automatically jump to conclusions, or do something like down vote a post just trying to give people a heads up/informative in the event it does end up happening.

Anyhow take what you will from it, sure it would be immensely difficult to pull off, which makes it pretty unlikely. I live in the middle of nowhere pretty much and having Employee's hearing/attempting it here makes me second guess myself though.

I hope these morons get fired. There are a lot of people out there who are actually willing to work. If they don't like their working conditions, they can find another job.
