After doing my own google search, I found several vendors selling the exact same product at only slightly higher prices. Similar products by other manufacturers can be found for somewhat less. Check Puritan, Swanson, and Vitacost to start.

What does it do? It's just a general antioxidant. Doesn't really "do" anything for any specific condition in the sense of an actual pharmaceutical.

Hence, the reason I watched, and listed, the Amazon price. Sure, you can get cheap 3rd party prices, but where they get you 90% of the time is the shipping. Like you said, there's no way to know what the shipping cost was, so it's pointless to go by their prices. If you want to wait it out for a cheaper 3rd party price+shipping, be my guest.

Once again, if you had read the original post, you'd see that I had said basically the same thing.

The bottom line is:

1. After researching, I concluded this was the product I wanted to purchase.
2. This is the cheapest it's ever been, and is the cheapest I could find it for online.

It is proven to block Alpha 2, which allows your body to break down fat easier and faster. It also increases blood flow. Overall, green tea can increase metabolism, and is known to give numerous positive side effects. No, you're not going to shed weight at drastic speeds, but it does make a difference. A quick google search will lead to numerous articles giving you good breakdowns of the benefits of green tea.

Also like coffee, it's a stimulant and appetite suppresent.

With typically 1/2 the caffeine, however. A cup of black coffee is ~100mg of caffeine while Green Tea is typically 5mg. EGCG extract often comes with ~50mg of caffeine tough (haven't looked at the label of this one).

I love coffee roasts and teas like people love wine and craft beer, but you get to avoid mass doses of caffeine with this. Further, to get 900mg of EGCG a day, you'd have to drink 180 cups of traditional green tea (yeah, good luck...get ready to piss your brains out! ) or 18 cups of Matcha Green Tea (which is typically of a concentration level that is 10x greater than traditional green tea).

EGCG is like anything else. Combine it with a good diet / lifestyle change in eating habits and you'll lose weight.

EDIT:: This has just 16mg of caffeine, the lowest I've seen. So, all the benefits of concentrated green tea without the caffeine effects that some people cannot handle.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but there are other stimulant properties in both tea & coffee besides caffeine.

I don't mean to say that GTE will wake you up as much as a strong cup of coffee, but the GTE that I've taken before gave me a noticeable energy boost and I wouldn't recommend taking it at night.

Thanks op. I've been searching for a low dose of caffeine to use before my workouts. The lowest dose I was able to find before was 90mg and that was enough to almost make me throw up. Ever since I quit drinking soda 3 years ago my body cant handle caffeine.

hmm, I've had a bottle of these for a few months and I've never really noticed any bad taste from them. I will say (as with any vitamin, fish oil, etc. I've ever taken) I did not really notice any difference if I had or had not taken it aside from maybe being more awake in the morning but if that is what you are looking for, then just get caffeine pills. You would take the green tea extract for the (supposed) health benefits of the antioxidants.

They can't be worse than those GNC energy vitamin pills. My god, those things are wretched. It takes a lot for a smell to turn me off and those things come a close second to St. Patrick's Day 2008 in Savannah where a drunk girl puked all over the table at a sushi bar at lunch time. Mmmm good times!
