Yeah normally I would agree with you (about it only being $12), but that argument goes right out the window when $12 can get you some really great newish games on slickdeals every other day. Just for example, we have two decent games on sale right now - Alan Wake and Dead Island. You can't tell me that it's better than either of them.

It isn't better than either of them. It's just very different than any other game you'll play these days. Even with the fun/quirky games that we have these days, the Postal series is just an entirely different animal.

I get what you're saying though. If it was between Just Cause II + all DLC and FarCry2 or this, I'd start with those two for sure, as the value is there in spades, and I've spent dozens of hours in those two games. But you don't buy Postal for it's value or how many hours you can get out of it. You buy it for the laughs and crazyness, and the hopes that they make another, albeit better, version in the next decade. I mean what other game has cameos of gary coleman running around with an assault rifle in them?

Killer deal for Dead Island. I even had a $0.50 credit for game tradein (still not sure how that worked, all I did was trade in the free game I got from when I created my account) so in all I paid $7.50 for Dead Island GOTY. I'm happy

Beats that Dead Island (core) deal for $6 that was on gamefly a few weeks back that I missed.

FYI for anyone looking to get Alan Wake, the collector's edition plus american nightmare were 10 bucks together last steam sale.

This is a big enough difference I'd say just wait until the next one, because it will be that cheap or cheaper.

Its more of an old school shooter with waves of enemies coming at you like the old Doom or Serious Sam. You dont have much to lose for $2. Any system can handle the game nowadays and it still looks decent with the settings cranked up and AA maxed out

I believe the rules are no trading over $5 value. Be careful or try another forum like CAG where they encourage trading/private sales.
