It's not invite "only." You can sign up, and you can get in in a few days tops. Also, when you invite people, you gain a free month. That in itself is strictly against Slickdeals policy.

Signed up on Monday and still no card. I'm bummed - I was hoping to catch a matinee today and one tomorrow. By the time the mail comes tomorrow, it'll be too late and I won't get a chance to use it until Monday. Didn't it say two business days somewhere? I know the welcome email says within 5 business days, but I thought it said you'd get the card within 2 business days when I signed up? nonetheless, no news. . . bummer.

Yeah it did say 2 days somewhere and someone on here said they got theirs on the third day.. I have yet to get mine I really hope it comes sat.. Still, gotta give them sometime as the email does say within 5 days and the word SHOULD so.. I guess Ill give them until tuesday. Does anyone know where these cards are mailed out from?

KrazyShopper is the one who got it on the third day. Someone else who has been posting here ordered last Friday late and got it Tuesday (I PM'd to ask) and said it was postmarked in Illinois with a return address in Vegas I believe. I know that the USPS can be a crapshoot, so I'm not blaming it on them, I'm just impatiently awaiting here. Though I should be appreciative - it has been giving me a little time to learn the key tips and tricks from the folks who already have it.

I think they try to load the exact amount hence the check-in. If I go to one of my AMCs before noon it's only $6 so they probably have a way of telling how much it is for a specific time at a specific theater.

I signed up on a Wed night and got my card on the next Monday. There was probably a surge of people signing up so it may take a little longer for some people.

Wonder if they are sending first class mail which is 2-3 days or standard which is 2-9 days.

Tried going to a movie just now but could not check in no matter how close I was to the theater. Got pissed off and went home to complain to moviepass since I had already missed the start of the movie. During my chat, I realized that their location for the theater was 1 mile south of where the theater actually was.So if you have problems with not being able to check in, view their map and make sure it's in the correct spot.

Also, it annoys me that you can't check into a showtime up until the start time. Listings go gray 15-20 minutes before they actually start.

From my understanding someone on here said you could check in 15 min before the movie then just buy another showtime for the ticket.

Yeah, I know. I mentioned it in the other thread. Just annoying more than anything.

But it's nice to know that what you check in for and what you actually purchase to see isn't linked.
