CANCELLATION POLICY UPDATE! CHECK YOUR EMAILS:

"It has been a very exciting six weeks since we relaunched, and we hope you've been enjoying your MoviePass as much as we've enjoyed creating it! We've received a ton of great customer feedback recently, and we've been taking comments into consideration as we continue to grow and expand. One of the main areas of feedback has been related to our cancellation policy and in an effort to provide a better user experience and a higher level of transparency, we have simplified things for you.

If you decide to cancel MoviePass within your first month of membership, you will be charged a cancellation fee of the difference between your monthly MoviePass rate and the total dollar amount of the movies you saw. If you're paying $30 dollars a month for MoviePass and you saw 5 movies at a cost of $10 each, you would pay a $20 cancellation fee. If your subscription fees are more then the cost of the tickets, you will be credited back the difference.

After your first month of membership, there will be a flat cancellation fee that is based on how long you have been a subscriber. The breakdown is as follows:

If account is cancelled within months 2 or 3, cancellation fees are $75
If account is cancelled within months 4, 5 or 6, cancellation fees are $60
If account is cancelled within months 7, 8 or 9, cancellation fees are $40
If account is cancelled within months 10 or 11, cancellation fees are $20

After your year long commitment, you will be able to cancel your MoviePass account at any time without cancellation fees.

We have a lot of things in store for MoviePass and your feedback has been invaluable. Our full terms and conditions may be viewed here; if you have any questions or feedback about this policy, or anything else MoviePass related, please reach out to our MoviePass Concierge via email at support@moviepass.com, live chat, or phone at (877) 646-2892."

If the theater accepts Discover card the movie pass should work there.

anyway a good day to die hard sucked
wasn't too bad, atleast it's only an hour and a half long, all it was was just road rage and carnage haha the way i see it they spent millions to show you that much destruction for the price of your movie pass showings which is 2$ for me since i average 10 movies a month for 20$/month subscription haha

i saw the phanthom on sunday and escape from planet earth last night, i rate em low, i don't watch tv at all except football. i'd say theater time for me is a couple hours spent in front of the screen, and i live just a few blocks from a regal cinema that has 16 screens.

Yeah we don't have cable tv here either.. Still watching crap just seems like a waste of time.. Luckily we have a theater that plays classics, cult movies and events that my movie pass seems to work on.

Saw Jack the Giant Slayer and Oz last week....I'd say I actually enjoyed Jack a little more. Perhaps maybe because theater was full with Oz and had to deal with kids kicking my seat and running around and talking.

But overall I wasn't too impressed with Oz.

I'm thinking tonight I might see Dead Man Down. Anyone seen yet have an opinion on it?

So is there a reliable way now of upgrading to 3D? I hear mixed reports of changing in the ticket as some theaters try to put the money back on the card...

Yeah I have been able to get them to exchange 2d for 3d and pay the difference. It is getting really annoying tho. I wish moviepass would just allow me to pay the 2 dollar difference to upgrade.

This is a reliable way:

You buy a regular 2D ticket. Take it to customer service and tell them you want to exchange it, not a refund. Then pay the difference. Fairly quick and easy at the AMC I go to.

Went to see Olympus has Fallen yesterday and for some reason the movie was not appearing on the app or website. I had to check in into another movie and it wasn't a big problem but it was wondering if anyone had experienced this before.

Been buying movie passes i dont plan on watching. After the purchase i head to the managers counter and say i want to exchange it for a pass to use on other movies on a different day coz i dont feel like watching a movie today. I now have a few passes that dont expire and reward passes from regal cinemas to use for dates Wink

Kiosk or counter. But kiosk is better. Buy a ticket for a later showing maybe the last showing of the night and exchange it and say you cant make to that showing anymore.

I don't know what I didn't think of that before...Embarrassment Did it twice at AMC and I had no problems. I bought tickets for a late showing and just said I couldn't make it. Works out nicely since I am earning a lot more AMC Rewards this way.
