The USB 3.0 ports on the ASUS are an appealing feature if your PC is not directly within your reach. I ended up going with the Dell mainly because I could get a much better deal on it than the ASUS, but I wish it had those ports.

EDIT: This is actually the lowest this monitor has been. The previous prices were $290 or $310 with a $20 promo card. This deal is $260 net if you count the promo card as cash.

Wow I must need another cup of coffee - for some reason as I glanced through the specs I thought the Asus was 16:9. /fail

I've not seen the Asus in person, but the u2410 is definitely amazing and has a stellar track record. That said, web research shows that this monitor performs just as well, with it's only downfall being some backlight bleed in some instances. A few folks have also complained about the anti-glare coating, but I find many times that those claims are very subjective.

Above, deelseaker stated you can find a u2410 for $10 more or less, but I've not seen it any lower than $359 in recent times and currently I don't see it anywhere for under $450. All things considered, it does slightly edge out the Asus in terms of picture quality, but if you're looking for a great IPS panel at a great price (Korean monitor arguments aside), this is definitely a slick deal on a 24" 16:10 monitor.
