Panasonic TC-L55ET5 55" Class 1080p 3D 120Hz Smart LED with WiFi $799 Fry's IN STORE ymmv

I did the same thing, I bought the LG today.

I visited the store in Irving, Texas today. The price was at $1150 for the Panasonic. I dont know if the sale was a one day thing in the other stores or probably this store never had the sale. I am not sure if they will price match with other Frys stores in other states??

I had the TCL55ET5...... It was a good TV.... I Calibrated this TV with the Disney's WOW calibration Disc..... and I got the picture to look good. But even while calibrated it had terrible black shadowing. The TV had good sound for a flat panel. The passive 3D looked good... and the 2D to 3D worked good. You can load a Viera "remote" for your smart phone... and it works fairly good.

Dislikes: Blacks, Plain Jane look, Big Remote that has a bad lay-out

Wonder what is going on with this TV...... within the last month... Fry's has had this TV on sale for.. $888 then had it for $899 w/Blu-ray player combo, then $844.... and now $799

With all that said....This TCL55ET5 is a Screaming deal at $799...... There is always going to be a TV that is "a little more" and you have to decide how much you want to spend... For me I felt that for a couple hundred more.... The LG 55LM6700 ($999) was what I wanted... If only just for the LM6700 stunning design!!! Plus the LM6700 does have a better picture.

I live in Corvallis, OR do you think you could let me know where you got your LM6700 and is there a $799 deal for the TCL55ET5 in Oregon?

Thanks a lot for the scan - I was able to price match at Best Buy - it was very easy. The manager mentioned that he has price matched this TV to a few customers since morning - was much easier than I expected. Got home delivery and basic setup for Free.

Really? Free home delivery? Thought they'd want to add on the charge like Frys does. I'm going to try and see if Sears will match it so I can get the 10% difference to offset tax.

I was surprised that the shipping and in home basic setup was free. Actually, I was so surprised with the customer service at Bestbuy. The manager of the store was really nice and price matched right away since they already got a few customers since morning for the same TV. He gave us the demo of the unit and explained a few benefits over other models. They tried to sell the warranty, but I will get square trade at Costco for $60.

You might want to try getting the warranty at their site directly during BF. They'll probably have a 40-50% off event like they usually do.

Dnydng..... The Frys is in Wilsonville..... They had both sets.... The TCL55ET5 $799 and the 55LM6700 $999.....

When I went they had the price tag hidden in back of the Panasonic... They are kinda shady there in the TV dept..... I have delt with them 3 times, and I have always received what was advertised.... I also don't fall for their extended warranty or anything else they try to up-sale me on!
