question about adblock. for school we use a program called webct where it shows us equations. adblock puts the little box saying i can block it like it does for banner ads. how can i get rid of the box temporarily?
"This guy's walking down the street when he falls in a hole.
"A doctor passes by and the guy shouts 'Hey you. Can you help me?' The doctor writes a prescription, throws it down in the hole. "Then a priest comes along and the guy shouts up. The priest writes out a prayer, throws it down in the hole. "Then a friend walks by. The friend jumps in the hole. Our guy says, 'Are you stupid? Now we're both down here.' The friend says, 'Yeah, but I've been down here before and I know the way out.'" |

The only way I know you can do this is to go to tools --> adblock --> preferences, and uncheck the 'Enable Adblcok' radio button. This does turn off all adblock functionality, however. I use WebCT also for school, and I don't turn off adblock. Why do you need to hide the adblock tab?

Is there a way to print a highlighted portion of a website as in IE? I miss that feature.

How do I get firefox to clear out the auto-complete? For instance, I type in a Card # or zip that I will only use once and now it appears every time I start entering a different number or username or zip or whatever. If I could just eliminate select ones, that would be even better (wishful thinking, I know).
TYIA Edit: Think I found the solution in the Google history thread with Drio's response. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Last edited by Gobo; 03-23-2005 at 07:35 AM.. *I am not your attorney.
