For the first time last year, I actively pursued BF, was disappointed. I am trying to motivate myself this year.

I couldn't resist anymore... Didn't even need one this large but it's a great drive for a great price. Had ~$1 in eBay bucks that was going to expire so paid $148 for this.

Damn, price keeps moving in the right direction. Eventually I will probably have no choice but to buy one for my Staples Samsung 11.6 Princeton, but currently seems fast enough and the moment I finally buy, a 512 will become the same price... :cursing:

Would this drive speed video editing or converting video to different size (1080 to 720) noticeably, or is that mostly processor dependent?
Would this speed up Pro/E or Solidworks CAD, or is that mostly processor/graphics performance dependent?
(The laptop has Intel Core i3-2357M 1.30GHz Sandy Bridge and Intel 3000 graphics).

Mostly processor for video editing. Pro/E is also mostly number crunching. A faster disk will help when your models get too large and it starts using swap space.
