Loved this game. I think it is definitely worth it at this price, but I figure that if anyone was interested and still hasn't played it, then they are waiting to get it for $9.99 used or something.
Which is unfortunate. Suda keeps putting out great games and everyone overlooks them initially, gets them really cheap later on and love them, then do the same thing for his next games.
It will be a sad day when dev costs reach even more ludicrous levels next gen and either force Grasshopper into closing it's doors or resorting to making cheap XBLA games that still no one will buy.
Anyway, it's a great game. Kind of short but has a bevy of costumes, music, moves, and more to unlock; quite a bit of replay value with this one in unlocking stuff and getting high scores. The game has a good sense of humor and made me laugh more than a couple times, which is typical of Grasshopper games. The soundtrack is also great. Combat is pretty basic when compared to something like DMC or Bayonetta, but still fun. Unless you are Phil Fish, there is no reason to pass this game up.
This game defines "meh". If it sounds like something you might be interested in, just give it a rent. You can beat it in a weekend easily.
It's an oversexualized high school cheerleader killing zombies. It sounds like fun right? It is fun! For about 10 minutes. The "jokes" fall flat and then it ends up taking itself way too seriously later in the game which destroys the tone and takes the humor and lightheartedness out of it. It's got style, but no substance.
It's worth a rental, but wait for it to be about $10.00 used or go to RedBox and rent it for the weekend. You won't want to play it again for some extra costumes and collectibles.
ponders, saw this at list price and thought, what an awesome idea. but my backlog is huge. However at 30.... ponders.... I do want to support the studio so would prefer not to buy used but am I willing to wait another 6 months for it to hit 15-20 new....
X3 I just finished this game, Suda51 games never review that high, but they're great arcade-y fun, not worth $60, that's for sure, if you're on the fence, I'd wait for the price to get lower or just rent it or something, you'll beat it in like a few days and then likely never touch it again XD
This was also $20 last month with the coupon from the @gamer magazine at best buy. Picked up the 360 version and plan to try to play it this week so I can trade it into best buy with the 100% bonus to get $20 ($21 for me since I am a unlocked member).
Okay game. Waaaaaaaayyyy too short. Beat it in 2 days, including repeating the levels to get the cheevos. Would recommend renting, but not for purchase. As for content, it is what it is...definitely juvenile, but amusing at times.
