The honest truth is neither is that great an option for making short films. They can be great for shooting video of friends or kids, etc, but, if you're actually thinking of doing narrative work, you'll be doing manual focus, and you'll find the focus ring on both cameras to be a detriment (too small, etc).

I agree with the other poster, you have a LOT of research to do, as the camera and lens are only a small part of DSLR filming. You may even find you want a camcorder instead

That is why I sent my rebate certified as well, rebate terms. There was an option on the certified mail to not require a signature and I did choose that because of talk on here about delivery problems. It does take forever to show on their site though, much longer than 10 days.

How does the T4i compared with the 60D? Playing around with both of them, tt seems the T4i, using live view, focuses much faster than the 60D. Anything else that the T4i is better than the 60D? I'm seriously thinking about returning the 60D and getting the T4. Any opinions, thanks!

i got the 40mm pancake on a t4i. autofocus is better than on other lenses, but the autofocus despite the STM is WAYYYY far from being anywhere really acceptable.
