Yikes, I bought this through Upromise, but I am filling out the rebate and it says, "THis promotion is NOT valide for purchases made through ... 'other third-party website portal'.
Aren't Upromise, fatcash, etc considered third-party website portals? So clicking through a different website invalidates the rebate?
I think you'll be OK. When you receive your invoice, there won't be any mention of the cashback sites that you clicked through. There's no way the rebate process would be able to tell that from your invoice and proofs of purchase. Anyway, my understanding is that 3rd party sites are portals like Ebay and Quibids, etc.
$1128 shipped + visa promo + mr rebates + rebate with selling my older sony a230 and the rest of the pieces here and this should get me the awesome t4i for about $300 with a nice case and 16gb memory card. Very happy.
F*** me. The post office lost my rebate form and UPC codes. I got only the printer receipt back in the mail along with a form letter from the post office that they are sorry they damaged/lost my mail. I didn't have any tracking/insurance on the letter. I tried mailing it using the Paypal shipping so that I could get tracking and insurance, but PP would not allow me to use their system because the rebate address had too many characters (the line that says ADORAMA....etc.). I think I'm totally screwed. Let this be a warning to everybody, don't be a dumba$$ like myself and mail this with insurance/tracking.
This deal so far has turned out great for me.
I have not received my $400 rebate yet, but after selling the lens, and the printer, getting the Adorama gift certificate, cashback, and credit card points, it looks like the T4i body will have cost me only about $250 and I still have the Adobe software and the pack of 50 13x19 Canon photo paper, which I actually use with my old Pro9000 (for exhibits, photo contests, etc.)
I'm crossing my fingers for the $400 rebate.
has anyone received their rebate on this? I got an email from Canon that they received it, but that's it so far.
Do you know when you submitted your rebate? how long did it take for you to receive your email notice? it took me almost 2 months to receive my rebate from this rebate company on a similar rebate a few years ago.
Well, color me surprised, but I managed to get my rebate too even though the post office lost my upc codes. We called the rebate company, and they helped us out by asking for copies of printer manual and some other materials. I don't think most rebate companies would have helped us out with such a big rebate. Many thanks to the Canon rebate people.
