I could be wrong but I think the problem is the low resolution. I know.....what do you expect for $79. But some people may want an slickdeal on a tablet with better resolution.

So basicly no one has used this product. I'm looking for a basic tablet for the Mrs.who is coming around to trying the new tech stuff. Her basic useage of a pc is neal and I would like to start her off with something simple. I was looking to you guys to help in which tablet would be good with a realy good price. I cant afford hundreds of dollars,so what would work on a water budget?

The local Big Lots (Pittsburg, CA) for me were sold out of this tablet - must have been attractive for some buyers.
Popped into Frys in Concord and had a look at their tablet offerings - they had quite a few snappy 7" tablets under the $100 price point. |

If you need a decent tablet, I'd recommend Ainol Fire/Flame. Google it.
It has 1280x800 resolution, front back camera, dual core processor, micro SD slot, mini HDMI out as well as 802.11n wifi. It pretty much has just about the same spec as Nexus 7 but at a little more than half of its price. Have one and love it. Third party developer ported Nexus system over and it's running flawless. |

i think 16gb nexus is $249. so when compared apple to apple, 16gb vs 16gb, it's around 60% of Nexus 7's price.
Plus, you can easily expand storage with micro SD card which can't be done with Nexus. As for Diablotek, it's a matter of paying $80 more for a much more capable, almost top of line 7" tablet. I simply think Ainol is the sweet point between price and performance. |
