You can get this from Fry's this week in a retail box with 5 year warranty for $125. Only thing retail gets you is a nice box, instructions and 4 screws. Not even a sata6 cable.

Several newegg reviews claim high failure rates. Posted 1-2 years ago. I wonder if the 5 year warranty and quality upgrades were instated recently? Or just bad drives from the flood?
I am looking for a reliable drive.I bought a seagate 3TB, copied all my stuff to it, deleted the old drives and of course the seagate failed within a month. Lost all my college notes and research. |
