Walgreen's 11/4-11/10 deals

Where is the Halloween clearance stuff? went to one Wags and there was nada! X-mas stuff was already up, I think they skip Thanksgiving, lol.

The cashier had a bunch of 5/20 cats and was scanning it to whom ever had more then $20 worth of stuff, hum.

My stores have Halloween clearance 50%, except candy because trick-or-treat was delayed by Sandy.

RA stores in the area actually delayed the 50% on candy for the same reason. We still have folks without power, as do so many areas. I don't think it would have been a bad thing to let people purchase their candy at a discount with all the other hardships going on, but not my stores to run. CVS had no candy, except 4 packages of Peeps. WM had everything for a dime. I used the last of the McCormick mq's.

hey guys, i'm new to the walgreens thread. i've been doing CVS mostly, sometimes rite-aid, but walgreens just opened nearby and i was wondering about some things.

1) does walgreens usually have $/$$ off coupons? (eg $5 off $25)
2) like rite-aid, does walgreens have its own coupons? (eg RA Video Values)
3) what's the deal with the points? balance rewards?
4) i didn't see many manufacturer coupons but am i right to assume walgreens accepts them?
5) other tips for the walgreens newbie?

before walgreens opened near by, i occasionally went out of my way to get free after RR stuff.

Things are slim pickins at Wags right now. Possibly, it's a good time to try a few deals just to get your feet wet, but don't expect a lot of freebies! We're all hoping things will pick up Black Friday. The amount of posts in this thread is a true sign of how sorry things are!

Buy 14 8-oz Nice Shredded Cheese -- 2/$3 with card
Subtract $2.10 with 10% discount from prescription card
Receive 3000 bonus points for spending $20 on Wags brand items (H & H ad)

I had a feeling that would be the case. Thats why I had asked about the clearance last week. I can't make a special trip there, need to conserve gas. But, may be passing so would stop in if I go by a Wag's. In NJ, Halloween is being celebrated today, albeit in a very small way. Poor kids don't have school here today or tomorrow, but they're doing a Trunk and Treat for them. Haven't even seen my grandkids in their costumes yet. boo hoo

I'm confused about the 2 week deals. Is it best to just compare the 2 paper ads to see what it shows on each page for dates of sale? How do I know what is still from last week?

As far as taste, this cheese is good. I love cheese and bought several with expiring rewards.
I bought the 8oz block as they take less room in the frig and can be shredded if needed. Only carry cheddar as chunks.

Has anybody done the Proglide RR deal and found out if it's rolling? I might try it and report back, but I'm such a coward, I'll probably chicken out.

EDIT: Nevermind. I see that it's been reported as rolling in the 10/28-11/10 thread. I Should have checked there first.
