Are these compatible with the Xbox 360? I couldn't find anything mentioned in the product description.

Actually, I just looked to check -- it was the PC350's, actually -- I tried them just a couple of months before the 360's came out (they have since dropped a bit in price I see). I expected a lot out of them and I was super disappointed with how uncomfortable they were. They hurt my head quickly. Of course, that all depends a bit on the shape of your head. I felt like the Logitech G35's pinched my head too tightly, too, but my girlfriend loved them. Then our company developed a new conferencing software program that isn't compatible with Logitech headsets, so she had to switch. In the interim, I had gone from the Tritton's to the Siberia V2's and I let her try them for a day and I lost that pair -- she never gave them back. So then we both settled on the V2's quite happily. Like I said, I don't game -- the Sennheisers may have better sound quality, I don't know....but these felt a LOT more comfortable to me than those.

Heard nothing but good things about this headset. I would like to buy one but since I play on the Xbox 360 only and it requires you to buy an audio mixer. No dice.

They are but you have to buy the audio mixer for it to work.

Yes, if you're talking about FPS games such as CS...this is great. I used siberias for competitive gaming for a while and it's the only ones I use now. Stopped playing games, but I can confirm that these are legit in terms of sound quality for high level players.

No adapter for me, just plug into the component cables for left and right sound and into your controller for the microphone... where does it say you need an adapter?

Are these good for shooters? Like can you hear things and tell what direction they're coming from?
