Perfect monitor for people with bad eyesight. Personally, I am looking for 1200-1600 vertical pixels in a monitor this size.
Wow, I didn't even know about 1600 vertical monitors. Are there even any under $500, based on quick search I found some on Newegg for about $1000.

Well that makes sense, but for this price you can buy 2 for the price of one 2560x1440 Korean monitor from Fry's (not including ebay Korean monitors since there is a risk buying them) or 3 to 4 for monitors from Brands such as Dell and Asus. I would rather have multiple monitors with low res than one high res monitor. If you can afford multiple high res monitors then Im jealous.

I am only looking for one monitor, and I never said anything about it being affordable. Although and affordable price would be nice.

I think I have too many 1080P display devices.

I should start upgrading to 2560 x 1440 soon.

wish I had a fry's nearby...
I've thought about ebaying... but it's a big enough purchase I want to be able to return dead pixels..

only thing stopping me from getting one is how ugly the monitor is, but I guess you cant complain at that price.

I'd rather save money and put it towards a PLS or IPS panel display

I guess a lot of people missed the one sale a day for the 27" S27B550H, which is an updated version of this for under $190 shipped, no taxed. It is a refub though and same resolution. But can't beat that price.

confirmed in Robinson, PA (Pittsburgh). In for one. Thanks.

As a note, the 24" is $60 cheaper but that rebate expires today (10/24).

I decided to give it a try and got one today. The font is a little blurred out until i used my radeon to do the scaling for me. I also used windows cleartype and after about 10 minutes i got it pretty looking pretty darn good. Games look fantastic on it also. Skyrim looks good all blown up. Oh and it has 2ms response time and 75hz. good enough for me. For 219+tax it is a steal. Thanks OP.

Well, My monitor is beautiful when playing games, but then I chose a black background for Windows and I notice a rather large amount of blue leakage coming from the bottom. It's pretty ghastly.

I would return it for another one, but after I removed it and set it up, my 3 yr old took the styrofoam out of it and broke it all apart.Everything else s fine. Does anyone know if Costco will accept the exchange with styrofoam missing?

They don't care about the styrofoam.
Hell, my sister returned an entire system without the box a couple years ago!
