Toshiba 50" Class LED 1080p 60Hz HDTV,(3.2" ultra-slim) 50M2U @ Walmart.

this TV is "exactly" same as Toshiba 50L2200U .
relabeled exclusively for WALMART as 50M2U.

the KING and the BEST as Computer Monitor with HDMI
* it has amazingly very sharp images and smooth fonts while connecting to pc as Computer Monitor. better image then my LG and my new SAMSUNG UN32EH5300. connected at 1920X1080p with HDMI cable (laptop Acer 722,AMD Radeon HD6290) and it has a great power management and shuts down after laptop goes to sleep mode VS. the samsung that power down after 2 hours.

Likely no. I looked at the manual and it explicitly states it will handle JPEG's and MP3's.

I agree. I have a similar TV (52" Sony LED) and hardly ever use any of the internet apps or the 120Hz feature. It's one thing if you can get one with the features for the same price, but I paid almost double price (which was a discounted price). I guess it's a matter of what you do with your TV (watch a lot of Netflix or Hulu), but I've always found a HTPC connected to a TV much more functional and easier to use than any kind of internet app on a TV or streaming media box. The problem I had when searching for a TV was getting one without the bells and whistles which still had a decent picture quality. It seems like this one is an exception.
