Wondering about this Phenom X4 deal as well.
Probably this $39.99: http://microcenter.com/product/38..._Processor

But if you had a MC nearby, you'd probably get an x6 for $89.99 w/ free mb

Manufacturer website lists gigabit

I wouldn't trust that site. It lists DVI even though the newegg pictures clearly have no dvi.

FWIW, on the 1155 intel MB the newegg description said 10/100 lan and the one i got ended up being gigabit. Realistically i would not expect the dvi or gigabit on this one but you never know, would be a pleasant surprise.

Years ago when I had a Fry's nearby, nobody wanted to touch ECS boards because so many on the shelf were seemingly defective returns. I would hunt through the boxes trying to find one that looked untouched, but I still ended up with one bad board I had to return once. No doubt it ended up back on the shelf with the rest.

The replacement board worked just fine, so I didn't develop a negative view of ECS so much as of Fry's return policy at the time.

Ya, and note that the specs say that DVI is "(optional)", and that the pictures on the ECS site claim that it may be different due to "optional" specs.
And the board from the NewEgg pictures has empty solder points for a DVI connector.

The one sold by NewEgg probably doesn't come with the DVI connector.
You could probably buy a DVI connector for a couple bucks and solder it yourself.

ECS gets a lot of bad rap, and their earlier designs might not have been the most reliable (based off newegg ratings), but supposedly they are much better now. I recently built a mini itx box with an ECS LGA 1155 mobo, and its been going strong so far...

I wouldn't worry about it, esp. if its FAR

Got the $15 ECS Intel 1155 mobo last May and has been running 24/7 as an HTPC with no issues. They're Ok in my book. Set my alarm to wake up for this deal.
What do you use for video if no HDMI?
