A tablet deals for the kids in my top list as well, although I talk a good game until I see the first people camped out on Tuesday. Then it's "forget the stores on BF, I'll just stalk the SD forums for deals I can actually get.

something some of you may not know but many probably do, on October 29th google is discontinuing the 8GB version of their nexus 7 and dropping the price of the 16GB version to $200. They are introducing a 32GB version, and this version will take up the $250 price point. Look for them to go on sale on October 29th though a few lucky people have scored a 32GB version already.

This tablet is on my short list for a combination of screen, processor power, and large support by google along with large app selection. If anyone has any other suggestions I'll be watching this and other threads though to see what pops up. With Windows 8 coming a whole slew of tablets are about to be introduced.

Here are some of my guesses for the tablet sales on Black Friday:

Best Buy will sell the 16GB Asus TF 300 for $249 or the 32GB Asus TF 300 for $299. They already had that price in the summer on the 16GB tablet.

Best Buy or Staples will sell the Toshiba Excite 10 16GB for $279 - $299.

The Acer A200 will sell for $199 at a couple of stores which is the actual sales price right now at Gamestop.

The Lenovo S2109 will sell for $199 at Office Depot (as they are currently unloading them at $239).

Someone will sell the Samsung Galaxy 2 10.1 for $299.

The Google Nexus 7 models will drop around $20 only.

Just guessing on all of these of course.

On the bargain (but functional) end there are some tablets that, with some tweaking, can do a lot of stuff:

~$110 NEW Ainol Elf II or Ainol Aurora
Dual Core Cortex A9 w/ Mali-400 Graphics, Android 4.0 ICS and Capacitative Touch 1024x600 screen. The Aurora has an IPS screen, & mediocre front camera. Connections: Mini HDMI, Micro USB, Micro SD Card
Some Apps it runs nicely: Skype, Netflix, Hulu, Kindle, Google Play, Pandora, plenty of 3D games

~$70 Refurbished Elocity A7+
Dual Core Cortex A9 (Tegra II) w/ Tegra 250 Graphics, Android 2.2 Froyo, & Capacitative Touch 1024x600 screen, & mediocre front camera. Connections: Full-size HDMI, full-size USB (for flash sticks, mice, keyboards, or USB hubs), Micro SD Card.

Finally! It seems that most of the people that I talk to are only concerned about tablets from "Premium", or well-known in America, companies. I have purchased quite a few tablets direct from China, and I have never been disappointed. If you are willing to wait for shipping that is... nod

I have owned several tablets from Ainol and Ramos. My current tablet is from Bmorn. To me, that is where the value is, better specs for less money.
