Buy a tablet for whatever ecosystem your recipient uses the most. They will thank you for it. Officially supported tablets are the best (Surface, Nexus, iPad
). SD cards are not deal breakers as long as you have a good ecosystem to support your device. Microsoft's is strong but newer for tablets: Xbox Music, Skydrive, Office, etc. Apple's is more closed off than most, but has the widest app selection: iTunes, iCloud, etc. Google's seems to have the most services, and are inherently web-based, so compatible with non-Google devices, and can be accessed anywhere: GMusic, GDrive, GDocs, GMovies, etc. Trust me, nothing sucks more than being an avid Apple user, and getting a cheap Android tablet for Christmas. Same with being an avid Android/Microsoft user and getting an iPad, now that Android tablets are good, and MS tablets exist (though baller status counts for something I guess ).As for BF deals. There will be good deals on older Android devices (Galaxy tab 7, 10.1, Transformers, etc.). Nexus will not be on sale, and if so, $25 off at most. The note 10.1 might be on sale, but at most $35-50 off. Most newer tablet devices will only drop $25-$50 most likely. Apple won't have sales greater than $50 off, unless re-sellers are clearing iPad 3 stock, but again, expect very little off. Microsoft devices are too new, so again will most likely be $50ish off at most, though most are out of stock anyway. This season older Android devices will most likely be the best bargain. |

I'm in the market for a tablet but it's TOTALLY overwhelming--I'm looking forward to your info!
