Finally! It seems that most of the people that I talk to are only concerned about tablets from "Premium", or well-known in America, companies. I have purchased quite a few tablets direct from China, and I have never been disappointed. If you are willing to wait for shipping that is... I have owned several tablets from Ainol and Ramos. My current tablet is from Bmorn. To me, that is where the value is, better specs for less money.
it's hard to shake that mentality to buy name brand when the stuff that comes out of china can so often have less than stellar lifespans before something breaks, I must admit. Still I'll have to look at these devices.
I may ditch searching for deals and just buy a nexus Monday. Great featureset and I can live without the expandable memory since there's an app that allows USB flash drive usage so I can at least swap data. Still I know i shouldn't be buying a device without a microsd slot, it sends the wrong message to these companies. Must haves for me: Quad Core processor, IPS screen, minimum of 1GB ram, and at least the ability to somehow hook up some expandable memory even if it's a hack. Still... if I want to watch content on these things, I want microsd....

Honestly I'd suggest the Nexus, the market is flooded with cheap chinese tablets right now, they can get the job done but quality is across the board. The Nexus is at a great price point for a solid product
I'm also looking for a tablet this year. My top 3 to get are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Asus Eee Pad Transformer or a Asus Transformer Prime. I actually just got a Asus Eee Pad Transformer from CowBoom for $190. It should be coming in the mail in a week. I'm hoping its in great condition like my 3DS, PS3, and 360 was.
Either way, I can return the tablet. I'll only do so once the black friday ads come through and hopefully they have better deals. I think I'll stay with those 3 tablets though.
I would have already picked up a nexus if it had a microsd slot....so whats the best deal right now on a 7-10" tablet with 1024x600 screen and 1gb ram that does have microsd? Big lots had a decent 7 inch with 1 gb ram but the resolution was only 800x480.
Where are you seeing the Elocity for $70?? I'm seeing it over $100 right now...OR are those your predictions for what those tabs will sell for on BF??
Well...it was just that price on 1saleaday.com (Refurbished) last week. I've bought several there and they're all in good condition. So I'm more saying the sale will occur again.
But my post wasn't so much of a prediction as showing a bottom line that better tablets need to show some amount of value in comparison to. I'll go update my first post to include "Refurbished"--I forgot that one.
