I was able to get the sears hometown kenmore front load washer and dryer doorbuster for $799 for the pair. It was 80 dollars extra for delivery, haul away, and install. The bad part was no interest free was allowed as it was a doorbuster and they would not let me use a 25 dollar gift card I had as they said the whole balance had to be on the sears charge to get me the 5% discount. But obviously I am happy I got the deal.

I was thinking that not being able to use the gift card was not right. And I saw the interest free pop up but he told me corporate was being strict that they could only do what was in fine print. I kind of felt like he just did not want to bother to check into it. And I know different stores do things differently. But that is disappointing. |

So any suggestions on what I should look at based on your research. I'm looking for a washer (front loading) and dryer (gas, with steam). A larger size would be better for our family of five.
Thinking of Lowe's or bestbuy since they don't have delivery, haul away costs and will do the hookup. Any models or other stores you'd recommend? |

HHGregg has sale prices (same as everywhere else) PLUS 10% off on their site.
The $599 LG model (WM2250CW) some have talked about in this thread is $599 - 10% = $540. They have a $79 rebate for their delivery fee as well. I think I'm pulling the trigger on the model up (WM2655HVA). $749 - 10% = $675. Plus tax on everything  ----------- Update. Went to hhgregg and they matched their online price as they should. Only problem is, they are not sure the front loading LG can have the washer door reversed. If this can't be done by ordering it special, I have to go top loader. So, in addition to the LG Model WM2655HVA, I also bought the Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum top loader ($1199 - $400 and then minus 10% = $720).
