Deal Details

  • The Logitech VIP Store currently has the Harmony 900 for $139.99 and Harmony One for $99.99
  • The Harmony 900 Refurb is normally $219 from the Logitech store and has been $159.99 with coupon on occasion.
  • The Harmony One can be bought new from Costco right now for $109.99 if you have a Costco membership this is probably a better deal for a brand new remote with Costco's great return policy.
  • This had been previously posted but has been out of stock in the VIP Store.
  • I'd been waiting for a good deal on the Harmony 900 for awhile.
  • BTW- I already own a Harmony 900 - it is a great remote if you need RF. The One is better if you don't need RF capability in your remote since it has sequences (button macros) and is cheaper. I previously owned the Harmony 880 and 890 and they are both great remotes, but the 900 feels faster has a much higher resolution screen and compared to the 890 - the 900 doesn't require you to plug the RF Receiver into your computer each time to program it, on the 900 the RF Receiver is programmed via RF by the remote itself. Overall I've been really happy with the 900, other than of course the missing sequences. You can find out a lot more about it by doing a quick Google search or reading the Harmony 900 thread over on avsforum.com
  • To get into the Logitech VIP store, you must have previously purchased something from the logitech.com store - simply use your login/password for logitech.com to login to the VIP store.
  • For those without VIP status, you might be able to get it using a trick found here (thanks to blackrain for the original post and links):

  • This had been previously posted but has been out of stock in the VIP Store.
  • UPDATE: Just received a 10% coupon to the Logitech VIP store until 11/5, bringing the price DOWN to 125.99 for the Harmony 900 and 89.99 for the Harmony One! Code maybe unique - check your email.
  • For those that already ordered, try calling 1-800-231-7717 from Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 6:00pm PST and Saturday - Sunday, 7:00am to 5:00pm PST and asking for the difference!

I don't know why - but my post keeps getting its line breaks removed - making it look like I wrote one super long line. Hoping that using bullets fixes it.

I couldn't even get in the backdoor way. Looks like they closed that loophole.

I was able to use the following loophole. Thanks Jellopants
  1. Close out of your browser and re-open it.
  2. Go to logitech.com (don't use the link in the post above this time).
  3. Go into the Products section, pick a product, and click until you get to the screen that shows you the "Add to Cart" button
  4. Click Add to Cart to add a product to the cart. This time, you should get a standard cart (no more VIP login screen).
  5. Fill out the form as though you're going to place an order, including the account setup information.
  6. Don't enter credit card info - choose the "PayPal" option and click continue.
  7. Click Continue on the Shipping details screen.
  8. DON'T GO ANY FURTHER. Leave this browser tab open, and open a new browser tab
  9. Enter/click on the link to the VIP store here
  10. You should now have access to the VIP store.

Use the hack. In for one. Been waiting on a 900 deal for several months. Love my Harmony One, but want to hide my components.

I have a stupid question for those user who have either of these remotes is there a way to lock out the buttons? Say my kid grabs the remote and starts mashing buttons is there a way to have it so it doesn't do anything unless its 'unlocked' for lack of a better term.
