Yeah, I remember which one you're referring to because I was in the same thread.

Prices haven't been that low since on the dv7. I think that was some site-related pricing issue. For the last 5 months, the dv7 i7 has been around $410 to $420 on the weekly deals (and you can't stack the 10% code on that).

Although I was able to score an i7 dv7 (different model), with better specs (1 TB HD, better graphics card, and Blu-ray Combo Drive) for ~$250 in July.

While that was a good deal in it's own right, you can't really compare what was likely a pricing error to this.

Haha, it would probably work. People on eBay are pretty stupid.

I'm not a fan of AMD processors, but at least this is an A8. Personally, all of my systems have Intel i5/i7 processors.

As I said before, it made front-page 4 months ago when it was sold by Newegg... and that's at $13 more expensive than this.

Not a bad deal for someone who needs a solid laptop and doesn't have a lot of money. It's a shame it's not a Trinity based A8, but the old A8s are still modern, fast processors that'll let you do light gaming to boot.

I paid a little more for a Samsung laptop with a Ivy Bridge i7 and GT 650m from a friend who thought it was broken. The i7 deal you got is so so.
