I've ran into several bad sticks of RAM--but I think all of them were bad when they came from the manufacturer.
Anyhow...how come nobody has posted the RAM's speed or latency? That's KIND OF A BIG DEAL. Update: It's 1333MHz CL9. No go for me, I'd wait for a 1600CL9 deal as they're periodically $30 new (there's a bunch of kits for $40 right now on Newegg, just wait for a rebate). I have never had any RAM died on me. Maybe just me. But without any moving part or over heat (over clocking), I don't think they die easily. Hope you find a good one.

Im running Dell Aurora R-3 with 8gb ram (4x2gb 1333mhz). It has 6x24" monitors with a 47" HDTV. 14TB hard drives. i7-2600K 3.4ghz
The ram I have is 8gb ddr3 1333mhz would like to upgrade 1666hz or better 16gb would max my motherboard. One of the requirements is that if I go to 1666mhz or higher is that the memory module needs to be XMP. Can anyone explain what this XMP means? and what is a good brand for my upgrade. Thanks in advance |

Its amazon so I don't think you have to be too worried about quality. And it come with lifetime warranty. I'd save money buying used off amazon only.
