I found the email and gave you a REP. I found your post somewhat sarcastic though. Will it be illegal for people to private message their Windows 7 Key just to input on the verification form to download Windows 8? I know several people do not want to upgrade to Windows 8. I want to know how to do download the ISO file. If I click on the link in the email it wants to download a Windows setup file then Windows assistant opens and shows downloading.

why would you pm your key? are you trying to sell it to another member here?

No, you misunderstood me. I meant people that are not using their Windows 7 give it free to someone who wants to upgrade to Windows 8.

there's a whole reason why there are keys like this..

they are not meant to be shared...they are also on record with MS unless it was pirated or something...

I am presuming you bought the Windows 8 key with your Windows 7 key which is legit. Technically, you can't use that same Windows 7 key anymore to do any upgrades. I would also think, that you're trying to defraud somebody by doing this...

You should very well know what keys are for....unless maybe you're just too late in realizing this..

Now, if you're the one who wants to use someone else' Windows 7 key to get an upgrade to Windows 8, you're walking on a very thin line here....and the other person is on the dumb side to give you his / her key...

Actually, I bought it before they required any key all. However, I have a legit key if needed.That's why I asked, I simply didn't know.

I tried the link from Amit daswani's version and even though i put in the correct dates, it says sorry i am not eligible for the promo, any ideas what is happening here ?

I believe you had to purchase the windows 7 pc/laptop between May/June 2012 to 1/31/2013 to qualify. I bought 2 pc's last year within that time period and was able to get 2 codes and purchase 2 upgrades. I didn't have to submit/type the windows 7 key, I used their upgraded adviser and it qualified my pc's.

I did this upgrade and I hate it. Has anyone that did been able to go back to windows 7? Ive searched online been seems like all signs point to no I cant go back. Any help would be appreciated
