Windows 8 14.99 upgrade available today(must have purchased windows 7 pc)

That's an old one! I'm surprised it still functions. All of my Pentium 4 and D based systems have long since died. My 2.4Ghz P4 C ran Windows 7 fine. The mobo apparently wore out though...lol. But then again, I ran it 24/7 for over 5 years.

Why bother. Dell's products are such garbage, whatever supported processor I'd install would probably not function anyway due to lack of bios update.

I have a really old amd K6 (the slot processor) machine that still works. IMO computers don't really wear out. So long as no component failure occurs, they'll keep on working. Very rare to see a motherboard fail unless it happens early on, or if the machine is abused (harsh environment, overclocked, etc.). The machine above did run win7 just fine, so that's what got left on it.

I want to buy this but not install it right now. And maybe not install it on the computer I use to buy it.

What's the best option to accomplish this ? Can I download it to an iso and then install it whenever and wherever ?
