My wife has this phone and it's pretty nice. Good looking screen, thin profile, and pretty snappy even with the HTC Sense UI. Definitely an upgrade from my Optimus V. But I'm just gonna wait until mine dies since I'm still on the $25/month plan

Does virgin still has 25$ monthly plan

Those with older phones have been grandfathered in with the $25 plan. New subscribers pay $35.

Nope, $35/month is the cheapest now. I'm grandfathered in on the $25/month since I've had this Optimus V since before they changed the plan pricing. My wife was too but she had the reallllyyy shitty Intercept and really needed an upgrade. That phone was terrible

I have this phone. Despite the single core S2, the processor isn't really a bottleneck if you're willing to unlock it and root it. I have mine overclocked with Simonsimons SickKernel and CPU Master Pro at a stable 1708.8 MHz and it runs great. Lightweight with an absolutely phenomenal build quality.

Great small screen phone with enough power. Non-removable battery as the con though

Yeah, what's with the non-removable battery? That's one of the things I like in all these non-Apple phones...

I meant the headphones themselves. The original one came with the headphones, not just the software capability.

I got this phone at this price a couple months ago and I love it. The build is beautiful and it's so sleek and thin I can't even bring myself to bulk it up with a case. I love everything about this phone except for the sometimes spotty Virgin Mobile reception, but I get what I'm paying for I suppose.

As a side note: I moved from Sprint to VM to save some money for a couple years while I'm in school and even though it uses the same network, the service is not as reliable. My husband has been with VM for years and we'd be in the exact same place using the same network (supposedly) and he would have no service at all and I would have full bars on Sprint. I always just assumed actual Sprint customers got top priority and everyone else using their network was tiered down from there. Oh well. For half the price I'll be knocked down a level for a while.

EDIT: Phone seems pretty strong too. I dropped it with without a case onto a tile floor and it just scuffed the aluminum on the back a little. I also feel like the curve of the mouthpiece might keep the screen from breaking if it's dropped on its face? Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

The majority of phones with 'Beats' audio have not came with the headphones for awhile. Those headphones are an extra $20-30 on top of the price of the phone. The Virgin Mobile HTC One V has never come with beats headphones.

You are better off buying other headphones anyway, as you can get much better quality and sound for the same price or cheaper.

The 'Beats by Dre' epidemic is nothing but a Monster Cables campaign for the misinformed. Make them look halfway fashionable, get celebrity after celebrity endorsement, along with a MASSIVE marketing campaign, and people eat it up like free ice cream on a 100 degree day. If they spent as much money on product development as they do on mass marketing, they might actually have a decent product.

The built-in Beats audio stuff, is nothing more than a EQ tweak to make crappy speakers sound better. Anyone with half a brain can tweak the EQ the same way and get the same if not better sound.

Do some research on the subject and you will see what I'm talking about.

Besides that, the HTC One V is still a great phone regardless of all that, it is nicely made, has a good form factor, runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich, unlocked bootloader, and is a decent price. It will be my next phone I get for Virgin.

I never said they were good headphones, only that if they came with the phone I'd buy the phone to give to a friend who likes them

I only rock klipsch or sennheisers myself so no worried
