$10 a month? that's crazy expensive! that's more than netflix, hulu, pandora, etc, etc, even than sirius XM if you get the 5 for $25

I have spotify and consider paying for it my way of excusing my other piracy
 I have a ~25-30 mile commute to work each way so having exact music to listen to depending on my mood is wonderful and well worth the $10 it is costing me. |

How does this compare to free options like Pandora and Slacker? I know those have ads, but even Pandora One is only $4 a month, or $36 a year.
Edit: Looks like you can choose specific songs you want to listen to and create playlists. I'll probably give the free trial a shot. |

is it just me or does spotify's radio reeeally need to be reworked? I mean it is replaying sh*t constantly. I'll give it credit that the songs it chooses are more relevant than Rhapsody any day of the week, but Spotify's real strength is in its HUGE artist/track database. You can't find everything but you have a really good shot, even on the obscure stuff.

 It is a issue, especially if I'm driving listening to a hip hop station but only hear the same ten songs over and over. I don't care if i gave it a thumbs up, I wan a variety!

guess i'll compare this with grooveshark (i've not used either). i primarily use pandora.
