This is not really a "game", more like an interactive story. I find it pretty interesting though, with a couple shocking/suprising moments that you don't see coming. I really enjoy playing it, but the decisions really have little to no effect on the story, so the replay value is low (if at all). And even though it says the story is somewhat tied in with the TV show, it isn't at all. There is a character named Herschel but that is it. Really. All that being said, it is a fun interactive story and I am glad I paid $15 for it.

![]() But yes good assessment of the game. If you are a fan of the show you will like it. Even if you arent a big video game player. |

How could I forget Glenn's memorable performance? I would say the same thing goes for him, just a character with the same name that really offers no legitimate tie-in with the show. I enjoyed the story because it was semi-original, creepy, and genuinely left me wanting to hear what happens next. I haven't played Episode 4 yet, I am waiting to play 4 and 5 at the same time. |

If you line ppl up it makes it easier for them to be shot.
I played the game when i got the episodes "free" on PS+. I've only watched the 1st full season and am currently working my way through s2. The game seems to have different elements than the tv show. Unless the tv show hasnt show it...ie I also agree that the replay value for me is extremely low. I'd rather not have to go through all the bs just to see what happens when I do something different. For replay I'd rather just watch someone's walkthrough on youtube or some other place. |

I Like the game but the reality is you're locked into a story, you just choose how to get there but all roads lead to the same place, a perfect example in this last episode you meet a doctor that comes with you, regardless if you tell him you want his help or not. You can quite litterly say "nah i'll be fine on my own" all it does is open up a different dialog which has the same outcome in the end. I hope if they do a 2nd game that there is more freedom. Emphasis is on social dynamics of your group and decision making, almost all dialog is timed.. which means you usually do not have time to sit and think about how to respond. There isn't much action in the game, there are zombies yes but the combat is simple, easy, and by no means the main focus of the game. You're primarily choosing branches of dialog. If you're looking for action skip it, otherwise it's not bad although you really don't have as much freedom as your dialog choices would suggest, regardless of your choices you're basically locked into linear story just with alternate paths of dialog. Sometimes you can directly choose the outcome of who lives and dies but doesn't really hinder the continuation of the story. For example say you tell the group they should not do something, but that "something" is required to advance the story.. like going some place.. what will happen is the dialog will change, their will be discussion, and ultimately the group will overrule you by majority and it will happen anyway. They need to work on this for the next series if they do another. It's not apparent how your choices are really limited until you play it 2 or 3 times and choose different dialog options you see that (for anything that really matters) your freedom of choice was just an illusion. If it ain't on slick deals.. i ain't buying it.
