Saffron doesn't go bad. However, the smell starts to fade away slowly and saffron without the fragrance is as good as saffron colour.

yup, its authentic and was about $13/14 for an ounce. Also comes in fancy glass jar with cork top.

Does that Costco saffron actually disclose the origin — where it was produced, or does it strongly suggest Spanish origin without proof?
