Thread Details

After spending almost an hour this morning going through the paper ads and online ads of seven different grocery/drug stores looking for a deal on Kellogg's PopTarts, I got really frustrated and thought, why don't we have a thread in the DS Forum for deal seeking on a particular item? I know there is a "Help Me Find a Deal" forum on SD but most of those in that forum are looking for tech deals, car deals, phone deals, etc. Besides, most of the DS folks never venture outside of the DS forum anyway.

You should limit your deal-seeking request to grocery/drugstore items only, i.e, milk, cereal, diapers, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. No car batteries, tires, phones, computers, appliances, blah, blah, blah......

Anyhow, if the Mods think this thread is a waste of space, they can just delete it. Big Grin

In MD and have Target/WM/Kmart, Giant/Safeway/Shoprite, CVS/Wags/RA(1st time shopper) and I'd love a deal on:

1) Pediasure for my skinny DS2.5 Sadwalk I wish there were some clearance or GC deals
2) Centrum Flavor Bust Chews multiV (DH and I just tried them and heart it...better then taking the kids' Gummies Wink ) - right now I'm using a lil O to get a couple from HT

Look on TotallyTarget dot com --- she posted that there is a PediaSure GC deal at Target ( don't know how regional it is) ending 11/24

PM if you want the two PediaSure MQs $5 I got. I probably have a couple of the Centrum flavor burst MQs too. Be happy to send you an envelope.

Any brand in particular? We're loyal to Jif around here but some folks seem to like the Planters and there are $1/1 peelies out there that expire in 2013.

On a different note, anyone know of a deal on HP ink? Particularly HP 61? Wags does not do refills on these. Annoyed
Nope, any brand of peanut butter is fine with me. I found some of those peelies at Wal-Mart this summer and used them on a sale at Giant. Too bad I haven't seen the peelies since then! Thanks for the reminder, though.

For ink, I used to refill the HP ones myself from a kit I got at CVS. It was messy and the results on the color ink were mediocre at best; however it met my needs at the time laugh out loud The Hp printer I had fell and broke. Now I use a brother printer and get my ink off amazon for about a dollar a cartridge. That's not very helpful to you but the price of those HP cartridges are outrageous! Hope you can find a deal.

Skippy q is supposed to be in Sunday's RP, but only $1/2. Sometimes there are deals the same week, but so far the cheapest I've seen next week is CVS where it comes out to $1.25 each when you buy four ($2.50 and $3 ECB wyb $10).

Thank you! I don't usually shop CVS. I have $1 off Skippy from a Fight Hunger booklet I got at Giant. That will make every 4 jars $3 after ECB.

Looking for a Hulk costume for an 8yr old, and a Captain America costume for a 6yr old to complete an Avengers dress up set. Anyone see them in the clearance aisle of the Halloween section of stores recently? (I might be a tad too late asking this question)

I just saw a bunch at Toys R Us this morning. I didn't check the prices but they had a bunch left, and no one seemed to be buying them so you still might have some luck finding them!

Fairly certain I just saw a Captain America costume at CVS (on clearance 75% off) not 3 hours ago. It will likely be Saturday before I can hit that store again, but let me know and I'll look for you. I have no idea what size it was though.

Thanks for the suggestions. Tried my local CVS today and they had no costumes, just the flimsy Captain America shield (I'm looking for the body suit costume). Good lead, though! Smilie

Hopefully not too much backstory...but, I have been anemic almost all of my life. I have tried ferrous gluconate (yuck, bad aftertaste), eaten as many leafy greens as I can, all to no avail. I am approaching 40 and am tired of being tired. I am working on my weight and exercise, but my doctor told me to try Slow FE with stool softener. Sorry about the last part. Anyway, does anyone know of anywhere there might be a deal on this? I haver Publix, CVS, Wag's, Sav-a-Lot/Rite Aid, Kmart, Walmart, Target, etc.

Thanks!

Have you ever cooked in a cast iron skillet? It does help. Smilie

Funny things aside, I got the same order from my doc and waited a bit (not very long) then one of those drugs stores - I forgot it was RA or cvs lol - had the slow release FE on sale BOGO.

Thanks for the info, I have never been told about cast iron. We have some and I will start putting those babies to use. I also will be on the look out for BOGO.
